The European Academy of Management and Business Economics (AEDEM) is a non-profit academic institution whose fundamental mission is to promote the development and dissemination of knowledge in the field of business management and economics at an international level. AEDEM is an academic benchmark in the field of business, committed to scientific development, critical thinking and the social impact of knowledge.

 

Made up of a large group of researchers, university lecturers and business professionals, AEDEM acts as a platform for meeting and collaboration between academics committed to research excellence, educational innovation and scientific rigour. The Academy organises conferences and seminars and publishes specialised journals in order to encourage academic debate, support scientific production and facilitate the exchange of ideas and experiences among its members. It also seeks to strengthen the links between the university world and the business environment, contributing to a comprehensive education that responds to the current demands of society.

AEDEM maintains an inclusive, dynamic and progress-oriented vision, promoting collaboration networks between early-career and established researchers, and committing to an international projection of research. Its activities cover diverse areas of knowledge, such as business strategy, human resource management, marketing, finance, entrepreneurship and sustainability, among others.

Code of Good Governance

 

  1. The Governing Board has the right and the duty to clearly understand the Academy's objectives and expectations.
  2. The Governing Board must establish a "moral" contract of community of interests with the Academy, so that unavoidable commitments, a shared vision and mutual responsibility are generated.
  3. The members of the Governing Board have the responsibility of involving all academics in a common commitment to shared challenges and values.
  4. The Governing Board must maintain the initiative at all times in order to achieve the established objectives and expectations.
  5. The Governing Board must be faithful, transparent and prompt in the information provided to the General Assembly.
  6. The Governing Board must seek a balance between short- and long-term horizons in order to ensure, in a sustained manner, the Academy's expectations.
  7. The members of the Governing Board must loyally reconcile their professional careers with the legitimate interests of the Academy.
  8. The Governing Board shall act, at all times and/or in all circumstances, in accordance with ethical principles.
  9. The Governing Board's emphasis must always revolve around the figure of the academic and, therefore, it must always bear in mind that its activities benefit them.
  10. The Governing Board must consider all academics equal, regardless of their position, sex, nationality and age. The Governing Board's motivation must be aimed at facilitating their research work, making available to them the means within its reach for their greater and better development.
