2026 AEDEM Global Summit (Lisbon)

Dear AEDEM academics:

We are pleased to announce the organisation of an extraordinary academic gathering: the AEDEM Global Summit, which will take place in Lisbon next February. This initiative arises for a singular and significant reason: to commemorate the 40 annual conferences our Academy has held, marking four decades of excellence and commitment to business management and thought.

Although the 40th Annual Conference will be held in Córdoba on the usual dates, the Lisbon Global Summit is intended to be a special tribute that transcends the traditional format and reinforces the international projection of our Association. We chose Lisbon as the venue for its cosmopolitan character and its strategic role in the European academic sphere, convinced that this city will provide an ideal environment for global dialogue and the creation of new scientific alliances. This extraordinary conference does not replace the annual Córdoba event; on the contrary, it complements and enhances it. The Lisbon meeting will be a platform to debate the future challenges of business management, share the experiences accumulated, and celebrate together the impact that AEDEM has had on the training of generations of academics and professionals.

We value the trust and active participation of our members in each edition and, therefore, we invite you to join this historic celebration. We are sure that, as always, AEDEM's success will depend on your collaboration and enthusiasm.

Dear AEDEM academics and conference attendees:

The Universidade Autónoma de Lisboa has the privilege and honour of organising the 2026 Global Summit of the European Academy of Management and Business Economics (AEDEM), which will be held in Lisbon between 22 and 24 February 2026. In this regard, we would like to invite you to take part in this meeting which, through its various panels, will allow us to exchange ideas and knowledge to enrich our research in the field of business administration, thereby fostering the dissemination and publication of the papers presented, and thus contributing to the transfer of knowledge to society.

The international character of the AEDEM conference stems from the diversity of its attendees, who come from different countries and cultures, helping to generate a more global vision of the economy. This diversity is also notable in its intergenerational culture, where highly experienced academics share space with early-career researchers presenting the results of their Doctoral Theses, Master's Theses (TFM) and Bachelor's Theses (TFG).

For its part, the Universidade Autónoma de Lisboa, since its foundation in 1986, has aimed to become an international benchmark in higher education, research and knowledge transfer.

Lisbon is the capital and largest city of Portugal, located at the mouth of the Tagus river and on the Atlantic coast, being the westernmost city in Europe. It is famous for its historic tiled architecture, its yellow trams, the sound of fado, its delicious gastronomy (especially the pastéis de nata) and its vibrant and charismatic atmosphere. The city sits on seven hills and offers a combination of historical legacy, such as the Jerónimos Monastery, and a modern, bohemian spirit in neighbourhoods such as Alfama and Bairro Alto.

We hope to see you in Lisbon and to enjoy this event together, where, in addition to sharing a space to reflect on academic matters, we will also share moments of fellowship among AEDEM members.
